At Vertex School, we equip aspiring artists with the practical skills, mentorship, and real-world experience to break into competitive creative industries. Our programs are designed to accelerate your career with a hands-on, industry-focused approach.

Meet Pietro Brunelli, a Vertex School graduate who transformed his passion for art into a thriving career as a 3D Environment Artist.

Discovering Vertex School

When Pietro set out to enhance his skills, he sought a program prioritizing real-world application over theory. “I chose Vertex because of its practical approach, which is based on the real needs of the industry,” he shares. “Every instructor here is a professional who actually works in the game industry every day.”

Time was also a deciding factor in his choice. Pietro wanted a program that would equip him with the necessary skills quickly and effectively. “The entire learning path is tailored to what you choose to achieve,” he explains.“Due to the hands-on approach, the program is shorter than a theoretical one. It can be tough since the amount of information can be overwhelming, but it ensures a very high level of focus.”

A Transformative Learning Experience

Pietro’s journey at Vertex was nothing short of transformative. Having a background primarily in 2D art, he entered the program with minimal 3D experience. The challenge was significant, but so was the support system at Vertex.

“The beginning was quite tough since my path was ‘from zero to hero.’ Before Vertex, I was primarily specialized in 2D art, with only some 3D experience. To become a 3D environment artist, I had to learn many software tools and techniques from scratch.”

Thanks to Vertex’s structured learning approach, Pietro progressed rapidly. Over nine months, he went from creating simple objects to developing full-scale, AAA-quality environment scenes. “Looking back, it’s almost unbelievable that less than a year ago, I wouldn’t have been able to create an entire environment scene on my own,” he says.

Beyond the Classroom

Vertex School is more than just courses and projects; it’s a gateway to the industry. Beyond learning from top-tier instructors, students gain access to industry professionals through exclusive events and portfolio review sessions. These experiences provide invaluable insights, networking opportunities, and continuous support.

“It’s not just about the instructors or the project-based learning path tailored to your goals,” Pietro says. “Vertex School offers additional labs and events that provide invaluable opportunities to interact with industry professionals. These sessions offer insights, portfolio reviews, and continuous support. The school is committed to ensuring you have the resources and guidance needed to succeed.”
